The graduate

I found this photo of myself recently. It's my senior photo for my high school yearbook, taken the summer before my senior year. Look how sweet and innocent I look. And young! I can remember the day I went to take this photo. I remember deciding to wear the shirt with the owls on it. I thought it would make me look smart. I was 16 years old.

I've started to think recently that youth is really wasted on the young.

so cute! and yes - so very young. looking off at your future in the distance... did we all have that exact same haircut? i think anyone with straight hair certainly did. it was all about the feathers. and i had a shirt similar to that - almost identical really, but mine had cars on it. did i want people to think i was ... fast?

You are still the cutest. However, so much more confident and so smart. I love you.

I think that pic needs to go in my bday card! I don't read Swedish, but I agree with pudelflicka -- I can see a lot of Charlie in that bright-eyed 16 yo. An adorable photo!
